Once a week my family and I head to my parents for family dinner and game night. We look forward to it all week long. While we only live 20 minutes from my parents, we love getting together and catching up on the events of the week and spend time together before we all head back to our busy lives of work, school and taking care of the kiddos. It is a great way for us to unwind and have a great laugh. We recently were sent a new game to review and honestly I couldn’t wait for the chance to play. I think waiting for Hasbro’s Scrabble Electronic Catch Phrase game to arrive was harder than understanding how to play. I can’t stand when games have confusing rules, is a long dragged out game or just plain boring. Trust me when I say that the Scrabble Electronic Catch Phrase game is NONE of these.

Scrabble Electronic Catch Phrase game was really easy to get the hang of and easy to understand the rules. Even my six year old wanted to play and understood how to. The game challenges you to come up with clues so your team can guess the phrase or word and then pass the game fast so you don’t get caught holding it when the buzzer goes off. It is a lot harder than you think because you can’t rhyme, give the first letters or parts of the word. If you do the other team gets the point automatically! Once your team has guessed your word or phrase, you quickly pass the unit fast to the other team. You want to keep doing this as fast as possible so it’s not your turn when the game buzzes. When the buzzer goes off, whoever has the unit loses a point to the other side. You want your team to be the first to get 7 points! I think my brother loved the game more than everyone. He was full of smiles and laughs. If you knew my brother you would know that his laugh is highly contagious. We really enjoyed playing the game and can’t wait to play again.

Scrabble Catch Phrase is the perfect family or party game. You do need 4 or more players to play and is recommend of players ages 12 and older. Scrabble Catch Phrase requires 3 “AAA” batteries, which are not included.
