Organo Gold Review and Giveaway brought to you by Mom Goes Wild

May 3, 2012
A huge thank you to MomGoesWild for sharing her
review and giveaway of Organo Gold with our readers.
Their products have such awesome health benefits.
You have nothing to loose – only plenty to gain.

Who doesn’t love coffee, latté, tea or hot chocolate? There are a select few of you out there, who wouldn’t touch a hot drink – I know it! At our house, we love hot drinks. Although, I usually wouldn’t drink any more than one coffee a day, I love to come home and have the option of having a latté or hot chocolate and even better… tea.

Most recently, independent distributors Brent Astrope and Shelley Maslow had asked me to review their products from Organo Gold. Their products have been developed with the perfect combination of ingredients to bring a healthier choice to your daily lifestyle. Their coffees, latté and hot chocolate, as well as their green tea are infused with 100% Certified Organic Ganderma.

What is Ganderma? Ganderma Lucidum dates as far back as 5K years. The herb was prized by emperors for it’s miraculous benefits. People travelled high up the mounts and deep into forests just to harvest this rare herb. Extraction of Ganoderma was done by either boiling the mushrooms for hours, or soaking them in alcohol for weeks. Now, through controlled cultivation, Ganoderma can be extracted and obtained in powder form.

You all may know, that I’m an alternative medicine freak! So of course, I instantly needed to know the health benefits of  Ganoderma. So, I get my research funk on – and away I went. I was amazed at how awesome the benefits of Ganoderma is.  There are more than 200 trace elements in Ganoderma extract. The most active element is water soluble polysaccharides which fight and reduce tumours, boosts the immune system, lowers blood pressure (HELLO!) and most exciting to me is if you suffer from allergies, there is a trace element in this wonder herb that reduces histamine activity, improves the liver function to sweep away toxins and increases oxygen utilization in the body.

Ganoderma Lucidum is organic. It is cultivated in carefully controlled conditions, to maximize its potency. It’s free from preservatives and artificial colours.

Brent & Shelly had sent me the Organo Gold Organic Green Tea to try. I love green tea! Check out this post I recently wrote on the benefits of green tea! Green tea and Ganoderma. Who could ask for a healthier drink? Not I! I had also received the Organo Gold Gormet Café Mocha as well as the Café Latté. I must admit, as you all know, I’m here to provide my honest opinion – the taste of the Mocha and Latté would require some getting used to, on my part. I’m not saying that I dislike it, I am saying that it’s different for me. I had to add sugar and cream to be able to drink it – but I’m certain that with a little practice, I’d acquire a taste for it. I was the same with tea in general, not only green tea. I had to acquire a taste for it. Everyone’s taste buds are different – that’s the important thing to remember.
