Our family gathers at my house and we spend the whole day together, we make all the dishes my parents used to make and while they are missed, it feels lie their spirit is with us…it is my favorite holiday!

Our only traditions right now, are that we invite single soldiers who cannot go home for Thanksgiving, over for dinner and we use our china to serve and eat dinner. I really enjoy it, but our house gets quite full.

This is only the second Thanksgiving that I get to do the cooking and the first Thanksgiving we are having company! We uses to go to my in-laws but now we stay at home. Last year turned out ok but a am excited to use all the awesome recipes I gathered online and have family over to make this year extra special!
